TheSocial Security Office of the Municipality of Brissago offers support to citizens in the field of welfare and social security.

Services offered

• Economic assistance: management of situations of economic poverty, ensuring the necessary means of subsistence and offering in-depth assistance during the instruction of practices.
• Professional insertion: Proposing work programmes in the form of job placements to facilitate reintegration into the labour market.
• Municipal Agency AVS/AI/IPG: performance of tasks related to federal and cantonal laws on AHV and family allowances, in addition to primary control of basic compulsory health insurance coverage.

Social worker

The Municipality, in collaboration with the City of Locarno, provides a social worker, Vita-Malia Jauneau, who is present every Wednesday afternoon at the Town Hall. It offers advice, help and accompaniment to people domiciled in the Municipality who need it, acting as a point of reference for situations of socio-economic hardship and orienting towards specialized services, if necessary.
