Thanks to the agreement signed in 2011 by the respective municipalities, the Ascona Police, in close cooperation with the Brissago Municipality's police assistant, guarantees coverage of the two areas, offering the following services:

• Investigations for contraventions of the Federal Narcotics Act

Administrative activities

• Receiving complaints for lost property and/or theft or loss of identity documents
• Receipt of complaints at the counter and user advisory service
• Confiscation of number plates by order of the Traffic Section
• Service of official acts
• Execution of evictions
• Various checks by order of the competent cantonal authority
• Reports and notifications to the various cantonal authorities
• Inspections and investigations under the Road Traffic Act
• All competences under Art. 36 Lear and 86 RLear
• Checks and investigations relating to the Act on the Application of the Federal Act on Itinerant Trade (Art. 3)
• Checks, investigations and seizures in matters of the law on mushroom picking (Art. 5)
