Mayor Marcacci Rossi: “With a touch of pride, we can say that we are among the first municipalities to have introduced a chatbot on our website.”
The Municipality of Brissago has completed an important process of renewal of its institutional image, culminating in a new visual identity and a completely redesigned website. A project that, according to the City Hall, represents much more than a graphic update: It is an investment in transparency, public communication and proximity to citizens.
«Brissago is a special place, suspended between water and mountains, between history and the future. But every living community needs to speak a contemporary language, to be recognizable and dialoguing," says Mayor Veronica Marcacci Rossi. Today we don't just present a website or a logo: We present an idea of a municipality that is more modern, closer, more humane. We are perhaps among the first in Ticino to have introduced a chatbot equipped with artificial intelligence, able to answer the questions of the population and those who visit our village, even after hours, in multiple languages, with precision and courtesy.
The new logo is distinguished by essentiality, graphic rigor and sobriety, and has been designed to adapt harmoniously to different contexts: from administrative documents to digital platforms. In parallel, the new institutional website – already online at www.brissago.ch — represents a turning point in the use of municipal services.
"This is not a simple aesthetic reinterpretation, but a real digital door", explains the municipal Reto Repetti, head of the Dicastery for Territory and Informatics. ‘We have completely reorganised the content to facilitate access to forms, bookings and contacts. The site is optimized for any device and meets the needs of an increasingly connected population, including tourists and foreign residents.
The site was created by Roberto Mazzantini, of the company Mazzantini & Associati, according to the most advanced standards of accessibility and SEO optimization. We took care of every detail: Semantic URLs, hierarchical structure of titles, described images, reduced loading times," he explains. But above all, the portal is integrated with new generation digital tools, interactive modules, newsletters, and can evolve in real time, ensuring greater autonomy for the citizen.
One of the most visible innovations is Giorgino, the new virtual assistant of the Municipality. It is an intelligent chatbot, active 24 hours a day, trained to answer questions about regulations, forms, practices, schedules, tourist information and daily procedures. The name, inspired by the municipal coat of arms depicting Saint George in the act of defeating the dragon, aims to create a symbolic bridge between tradition and innovation.
Giorgino is multilingual, easily accessible and compliant with the new Federal Data Protection Act.
‘We wanted to have a coherent, elegant and at the same time institutional visual identity. A digital portal designed to serve citizens, not to complicate their lives - concludes the mayor -. And with a hint of pride, we can say that we are among the first municipalities to have introduced an AI chatbot. It is proof that even a centuries-old tradition can become innovation, if reinterpreted with intelligence and vision: From a heraldic symbol it becomes a digital mascot.
